Ryszard Baloń (biogram)

zajmuje się malarstwem, rysunkiem i cyfrowym projektowaniem graficznym, ale przede wszystkim grafiką warsztatową, od 1974 rok, poznając i zgłębiając wszystkie znane dotąd techniki graficzne. W swojej działalności artystycznej stosuje niemal wszystkie techniki, jednak najbardziej aktywnie stosuje suchą igłę, która jest kompilacją różnych technik wklęsłych. W ciągu tego okresu wykonał ponad 400 skatalogowanych grafik. Brał udział w wielu wystawach i konkursach graficznych w kraju i na świecie. Jest laureatem wielu nagród i wyróżnień. Do najważniejszych należą: stypendium w Akademii Stuk pięknych w Barcelonie, nagroda „Złoty rylec” im. Henryka Failhauera, Medal im. Janusza Szymańskiego w Malborku, dwie kolejne nagrody Prezydenta miasta Stargard, medal honorowy „Zasłużony dla Kultury Polskiej” oraz tytuł „Zasłużony dla miasta Stargard”.

is an artist working in painting, drawing, and digital graphic design, but above all, he specializes in printmaking, a field he has been engaged in since 1974, mastering and exploring all known graphic techniques. In his artistic practice, he employs almost all techniques, though he most actively works with drypoint, a method that combines various intaglio techniques. Over the years, he has created more than 400 cataloged prints. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and graphic competitions both in Poland and abroad. He is the recipient of many awards and distinctions, including a scholarship at the Academy of Fine Arts in Barcelona, the "Golden Stylus" award in honor of Henryk Failhauer, the Janusz Szymański Medal in Malbork, two consecutive awards from the Mayor of Stargard, the honorary "Meritorious for Polish Culture" medal, and the title "Meritorious for the City of Stargard."

The past two years have brought:

  • Two awards in the competition (Italian Engravers – First Prize – Exlibris and Graphics)
    in Italy
  • Award for the Youth Culture Center for the activities of the Workshop Graphics
    Studio, granted by the Association of Italian Graphic Artists
  • Award and medal for the Youth Culture Center for the best set of works at the 23rd
    International Biennial of Children and Youth Graphics in Toruń
  • First prize for an ex-libris for the Castle Museum in Malbork at the International
    Contemporary Ex-Libris Biennial in Malbork
  • First prize and medal for the best set of works at the International Contemporary Ex-
    Libris Biennial in Malbork
  • Pro-Arte Award from the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship
  • First prize in the international graphic competition – ArtStudio – RedHood in Warsaw.

Ostatnie dwa lata przyniosły:  

  • Dwie nagrody w konkursie  (Incisori Italiani – Primo Premio – Exlibris i Grafika) we Włoszech  
  • Nagrodę dla MDK za działalność Pracowni Grafiki Warsztatowej, przyznaną przez Stowarzyszenie Grafików Włoskich
  • Nagrodę i medal dla MDK za najlepszy zestaw prac na XXIII Międzynarodowym  Biennale Grafiki Dzieci i Młodzieży w Toruniu 
  • Pierwszą nagrodę za ekslibris dla Muzeum Zamkowego w Malborku na Międzynarodowym Biennale Ekslibrisu Współczesnego w Malborku  
  • Pierwszą nagrodę i medal za najlepszy zestaw prac na Międzynarodowym Biennale Ekslibrisu Współczesnego w  Malborku  
  • Nagrodę Pro-Arte Marszałka Woj. Zachodniopomorskiego
  • Pierwszą nagrodę w międzynarodowym konkursie graficznym – ArtStudio – RedHood w Warszawie.

e MOTION

For an artist, relationships are a condition of creative existence, as the message conveyed by every creative work in some way influences the recipient and shapes them, even if the art is not socially or politically engaged. In my work, I strive to depict universal values that are undoubtedly the foundation of both individual and societal functioning. Today, these values are clearly in crisis, partly because the nature of maintaining many social relationships, including those between the artist and the audience, has changed.

When interpreting a work of art, the audience establishes fundamental relationships with it, which can lead to consequences, reflections, or changes in their perception of the world. This relationship depends on cultural context, individual experience, or knowledge. The contemporary challenge of art is to embrace trends such as interactivity and ambiguity, making the audience an active participant in creating the meaning of the work.
